| The
objective of this website is to provide you with information that
can be very useful to you. Your health, while abroad, is possibly
going to be your greatest concern. Travel agents certainly do insist
on some cover before letting you go anywhere. We recommend buying
your insurance from an independent source.
If travelling within
Europe, you have previously been covered by the EU's own
certificate, the E111. However, a new European Health Insurance Card
("EHIC") is now replacing the E111, and this is what you will need
to obtain medical help while abroad. Check out these websites for
further information about travelling in Europe:

If you are
travelling outside of Europe, then you will certainly need medical
insurance. In all events though, some extra insurance may be
advisable. The new EHIC may cover you for travel in Europe, but
extra private insurance may just get your problems dealt with more
speedily, more efficiently and more satisfactorily.
